Reducing the Waiting Time
A simple-minded way to reduce the waiting time would be to increase the frequency of the buses. But if this is done without thought, it can very easily and severely affect the number of passengers carried in each bus and it will add to the expenses of the PMPML. The way out is to combine several routes, i.e. have the passengers, on several routes which have a common segment, travel on the same bus. A simple theoretical model will explain this idea.
