**TAPATI CHOWDURIE** *TAPATI CHOWDURIE*, a former professor of English, had her training in Kathakali from Guru Gopinath and has been an active reviewer and critic of Indian Dance. In the five day long Kathak Mahotsav festival-a joint effort of Kathak Kendra Delhi and Jaipur Kathak Kendra- held at Jaipur this year during the spring of 2008, 'rasikas' of 'Pink City' had the chance to see a number of and 'sishyas' regale the audience with the Kathak dance form of yesterday and today. The last performer of the first evening was Jaipur's very own veteran guru Sashi Sankhla. Though she belongs to the Jaipur gharana there is a blend of both Jaipur and Lucknow gharana style in her dance.
